quicky,

ohi thur!

i feel like i've been so very slack with bloggin'
sorry :(

i've been debating whether or not to keep it up...
and, can i say, i think i will :)

so, what's been happening?

well.
i finally caught up with people!
on wednesday, my friend rachel called me because she was in the valley :)
which, by the ways.. is very close to ma house, so i got there half an hour or so later,
the bus was surprisingly packed, so it took me twice as long to get there. hur hur.
anywho, i made it, we FINALLY caught up over sushi, omnomnom, and then found a noice place to further catch up and chat about life, school and all that jazz.
and then i left her do do her photo shoot... photo here
gosh, she's a little asian ball of talent!

after that i went home to get ready and meet nickers and jamesy for dinner and a movie.
it was so good to see them! they had been away at woodford (see photos by the lovely sophie here) since boxing day, and it had felt like a life time since i had last seen them!
we exchanged christmas gifts and ate italian for dinner.
talking about shiz and speaking dirty italian! lel.

we saw sherlock holmes and ate hello panda!
then after these lovely events we walked to the bus stop. james and nicki caught the bus home and ma lovely mumsie picked meh ups.
:)

you guys made my day!
thanks

a quick christmas/new years greeting,

sorry i'm late but,
merry christmas
and
happy new years,

i hope you all had a lovely christmas filled with all of those christmas-iee-related-things
:)

my christmas was, surprisingly, one of the best i've ever had!
my uncle and cousins came up for the week. it was the first time we had seen them in... well, a really, really, really loooong time!
and it was weird.
but only because it wasn't.
you know when you seen someone in a really long time and it's like you don't have anything in common anymore, but then after an hour or so, it's like nothing's changed and everything is wonderful and you start to remember all of those silly in-jokes? well, although we (my brother and i) hadn't seen kyle in 2 years, alanna in 3 years and dom in like 5+ years (can't remember exactly), there was no awkwardness or anything! and that's why it was weird.
because it wasn't.

they are by far my favourite cousins
... even though they have red hair,

yeah... pretty much all of my relatives have red hair,
my mum is 1/2 italian, 1/2 irish, and she's the only one of five kids that looks like a wog,
hence, probably why my brother and i don't have red hair and they do... though it doesn't rule out the possibility that my kids could have red hair, god forbid.

kidding..

yeah so, christmas was lovely! and i got a tone of books and vouchers :), all of which were on my list!!!
:D

new years was not exactly... what i expected/looking forward to,
but anywho, there's always next year (Y)
assuming i make through this year..

not too worried about that though,
:)

that's what I'm waiting for darlin',

i love it when it rains!
and overcast weather and thunderstorms, but no hail, that shit's lame.

maybe it's because it's australia, and it's summer.
i don't like the heat.
when it's cold, i can drink coffee. and enjoy it. :)
i can wear jeans and coats,
i can use an umbrella,
i can splash in puddles,
i can paint (not that i don't in summer, but it's much more pleasant in colder weather)
i can stay inside and sleep, or watch movies and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows and eat cinnamon toast,
and strawberries are in season!

it's actually raining right now,
with thunder!
:)

and i walked my dogs in the rain with me little brother this aftern
oon, jumping in puddles and wearing hoddies, well, i was wearing a hoodie, and my brother kept pulling on it. he's 15 by the way, acts like an eight-year-old.

i love watching raindrops on the window, they're like little fishies!
and reading curled up in a blanket!
whilst listening to modest mouse, and googling audrey kawasaki (below),

forever young,

studying for our final ib french exams on friday, and my eff-ing god it was hot today!

this week's been pretty quiet...which sometimes i like but right now i'm going a little stir-crazy! i just can't wait for this week to be over!

graduation is almost here, though it's one of those things there always seemed like it would never happen! i mean, i knew i was going to happen...eventually, but i never really imagined actually growing up and a having life after school. because you know, you hear about it all the time and see it in movies and read about it, but it's always something that will happen. it's so overwhelming to think of everything ending in just a few days.
everything
but the grad party should be très awesome! :DD

although it's crazy to think about finishing. i can't wait! i still have no real idea about what i'm going to do, career-wise :S but, we'll see - i'll find something haha.  anywho, i'm going to rainbow beach with some friends from school for two weeks for schoolies on the 21st. so i will be MIA for a bit. warning you now. i plan on just chillin' and having fun and reminiscing and taking photos.....ahhhhh it will be gooood!

it would be so cool if i could wear something like this to rainbow
hehehe...i love pandas!
:DD

i don’t think you’re cool,

it’s ever so funny, i don’t think you’re special i don’t think you’re cool, you’re just probably alreyt, but under these lights you look beautiful, but I’m struggling, i can’t see through your fake tan, and you know it for a fact that everybody’s eating out of your hands

what do you know?
you know nothing.
(arctic monkeys - still take you home)

grr.

thanks guys...

a good monday? NO WAY!

today was a good day.

i mean it wasn't craaaazzzyy fantastic but it was above average.

the weather was just the way i like it :)
overcast, not too cold and not too hot, a little sprinkle of rain here and there but nothing serious,

the people were the sort of people i like
not to serious, not too crazy,

everything was just right.
:)

had good d&m's with people - but the kind of d&m's that light and fluffy - like a cloud
and i had rants with people who were ranting about the same things, which is good when you're ranting.

anyway, i'm in a very good mood and it's all because meh friends :)
so, i'm going to list why i love them...

friend no. 1,
i love that you want to change the world! i love that you have a need and a passion for it and i love that you are completely happy to be yourself and don't feel the need to conform to stereotypes or the idea of being "cool" (even though i totally think you are!). i love how you're more than just 'brains' and don't allow yourself be defined by it.

friend no. 2,
you are so incredibly unique in every definition of the word! and i know that to some people, you may be considered 'strange' or 'weird' but that is why i love you, no one in this whole world could ever be like you! you're crazy - in a good way, of course, and you always make meh laugh. :DD

ok, i know, this is very soppy, but whatever, I DON'T CARE it doesn't happen often, ok.
friend no. 1 & 2 you know who you are :)

i have lots of friends who i absolutely admire, no doubt, but it would take me forever to list everyone and the things i love about them, so these are just the ones that stand out. i appreciate all the friends i have made (especially over the last three years) and feel so lucky to have them in my life. i really hope we can stay in touch after school :) i'll cry if we don't ahahaha.

LOL of my life,

"one man, 40 characters and 3 epic films"

when i saw this, i seriously lol-ed!
i mean, wtf!?

i'm not the biggest Star Wars fan, but this makes me want to be haha

One Man Star Wars: One Actor, 40 characters, 3 epic films!

In this fast paced show Charles Ross brings to life all the characters from the original Star Wars trilogy live on stage!  Imagine Luke SkywalkerPrincess Leia,C3PO and Chewbacca -- all on stage, all performed by just one actor.

As a Star Wars addict, who has seen the trilogy over 400 times, Ross handles all the characters and special effects himself, without props or costumes to hilarious effect. Charles buzzes like a light sabre, growls like a wookie and whooshes like a millennium falcon as he creates the effects, fights the battles and condenses the plots of all three original films into one action packed show!

Whether you're a committed
Star Wars fan or simply want to enjoy a fast-paced, side-splitting evening that's out of this world - One Man Star Wars is a must see!

from here: http://www.qpac.com.au/event/One_Man_Star_Wars_09.aspx?gclid=CKXz6-qz_J0CFRUwpAodl1mgrw

so, if you are a Star Wars fan (or not), it's supposed to be very good so check it out.
i am curious to see how he charles ross handles the luke skywalker/princess leia/han solo characters....and all of the others for that matter hahaha

print me up baby,

hey lovelies,

so, because i've had a couple of requests from people about some of my works in exIBit, i'm getting two works printed on postcard sized cards, about 20 each, which is pretty damn exciting :DD

So Long As I Get Somewhere...

40 x 54.2 cm
Giclee Print: digital painting (with Wacom Tablet) on smooth cotton

description (didactic): This is perhaps the digital work I’m most happy with. I was able to combine my drawing skill with my knowledge of Photoshop. The text is drawn from the song Runaway by The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs from the most recent album It’s Blitz. I felt the lyrics were appropriate to the “Alice” theme because they evoke a sense of isolation, escapism and entrapment that is also explored in the story. I wanted the “Alice” character to appear trapped and isolated, using elements of Art Nouveau and her hair to achieve that.

Breathing Black/Breath in Black

29.5 x 28.1 cms
graphite, ink + finepoint pen on Saunders watercolour paper

(description is in the post 'the mad-header')

if you would like a copy/copies let me know,
though i must levy a fee (haha) to cover the costs of printing, but it shouldn't be too much.
